The Journal of Neuroscience recently featured Andrew Chen, Daniel Jun Rindner, James P. Fowler, Valeria Lallai, Allison Mogul, Angelo Demuro, Gyorgy Lur, and Christie Fowler's article on providing evidence that explains ATPs functional signaling role in the extracellular domain of mice and reveal underlying mechanisms that may mediate sex-specific differences in smoking cessation. La Spada Lab Celebrates 25 Years! 

From its inception in 1998, the La Spada lab has seen many NBB students and Postdocs throughout the years. La Spada lab has worked on a number of related neurodegenerative disorders studies focused on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

“The Brain, Music, and Wellbeing​" - Lavinia Meijer

Join NBB in a Wellbeing Dialogue Series featuring Lavinia Meijer.

Lavinia Meijer is one of the greatest living harpists who is boldly redefining the possibilities of the harp through her transcriptions and performances of works from contemporary composers such as Phillip Glass and her own compositions. In addition, Lavinia has a keen interest and passion for connecting the arts and the sciences, and furthering our understanding of how music can promote mental health and wellbeing. This intimate event will include live performance by Lavinia and a discussion moderated by John Guzowski about the connections between the brain, music, and wellbeing.

NeuroBlitz

NeuroBlitz has been a tradition in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior since 2006. Typically, this seminar series meets 2x per month during the academic school year, featuring 3 graduate student speakers. Unlike other programs on campus, NeuroBlitz remains organized and coordinated by the graduate students, allowing for the control of their own professional development. Ultimately, NeuroBlitz serves as an opportunity to develop one’s communication skills with the support of all members within the NBB department.
