SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH

Q: Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Israel and only moved to the US in 2016.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?
I love to hike and go to music concerts. Mostly, I spend time with my two kids (six and ten year old).

Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
Ha, many things. I once flew in an F-16 fighter jet. I learned to ride a bike when I was 26 years old. I have never been to any sports event in my life. Just to name a few.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?
I'm a pretty good karaoke singer.

Q: What would you love to talk about that no one has asked about recently?
Israeli politics. I get why people shy away from it, but it's something I'm passionate and knowledgeable about, although I can't claim to be impartial.

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
My kids, obvs.

Q: If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
Pizza.

Q: What’s the best trip (traveling wise) you ever had?
I went on an 8-day cruise in the Galapagos Islands!

NBB Wellbeing in a Busy Life Retreat

Food, Learning, and Connecting

The retreat will focus on the many ways our physical and mental health interconnect. The theme of our retreat is “Wellbeing in a Busy Life”, and the sessions will focus on ways we can integrate physical and mental practices into our busy lives to better support our individual (and collective!) wellbeing and resiliency. The sessions will combine large group discussions and activities, as well as smaller breakout activities focused on issues that might be most pressing to graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff. This structure will help us all connect as a cohesive whole, and still provide a level of intimacy where everyone’s voice can be heard as we find ways to better support one another’s professional and personal wellbeing.

This event will be held at the CNLM Herklotz Conference Center. RSVP HERE
