“Mapping and modulating the brain to advance the science of addiction and related conditions.”
Abstract: Addiction and related mental health conditions remain among the most pressing challenges in neuroscience and public health. This talk will explore cutting-edge translational strategies to map and modulate the brain in order to deepen our mechanistic understanding of these complex disorders. New advances in chemogenetics, optogenetics, molecular imaging, pharmacological agents, and their application in animal models of addiction will be presented. By integrating these approaches, we aim to advance our understanding and inform the treatment of addiction and related mental health conditions.
