You are invited to the third meeting of NBB’s Culture Club, which will be held on Wednesday, November 6th at noon at the Herklotz Conference Room.

The last two meetings were devoted to microaggressions and gender biases in hiring.

For the next meeting, we’re requesting suggestions for topics!

You’ll have the option here to suggest a topic for discussion and 1-2 peer-reviewed manuscripts covering that topic. We’ll announce the topic and reading materials in late-October. 

The meetings are intended to facilitate candid conversations between faculty, staff, and trainees on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in science. The overarching goal of this series is to promote a departmental culture that promotes open, fact-based, culturally aware, and inclusive discussions among all its members. Luna Grill will be provided at the meeting.

Attendees are asked to review the attached code of conduct and adhere to its guidelines. The code of conduct will ensure a supportive space so that all may contribute to the conversations in a meaningful way.
