You are invited! Join us for the first meeting of NBB’s Culture Club. These meetings are intended to facilitate candid conversations between faculty, staff, and trainees on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in science. The overarching goal of this series is to promote a departmental culture that promotes open, fact-based, culturally aware, and inclusive discussions among all its members.

Each meeting will center around a different topic. Some – such as the first meeting – will discuss a pre-assigned scientific article on the topic.  All NBB members are welcome to engage in open discussion. We will discuss the following paper: “Bystander training for faculty: A promising approach to tackling microaggressions in the academy” (Haynes-Baratz, Michelle C., et al. New Ideas in Psychology 63, 2021).
